The Brotherhood of St Laurence has published the second report in a three-stage evaluation of the Peninsula Youth Connections (PYC) program, and says that the results overall are very positive.
The PYC program has been active in the areas of Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria since January 2010, and is run jointly by the Brotherhood of St Laurence and TaskForce Community Agency, and funded by the Australian Government to ‘assist young people at risk of disengaging from education and training’.
This evaluation report answered questions about the problems young people face as barriers to education, how the PYC is experienced by young people, and how young people manage once they have completed the program.
