You are invited to VOICES IN ACTION; an action focused forum looking at how decision makers in child protection facilitate the participation of children and young people in their work.
This event will launch the Children and Young People’s Participation Strategy – a sector wide strategy that aims to create a child protection system where children and young people are engaged participants in their own lives. The benefits of such engagement will be explored, but also questions of how the ideals of participation are enacted in our busy, often crisis driven day to day work. A range of stakeholders throughout the sector will be given a chance to share their knowledge and values in this area. Also on offer will be practical tools and ideas for turning the talk of the participation strategy into a reality for an increased number of children and young people.
