Kids Helpline Newsletter - Domestic Violence and Internet Safety

The Autumn 2007 Newsletter of Kids Helpline focuses on domestic violence and Internet safety.

Exposure to domestic violence has ongoing effects on the mental health and wellbeing of children.  The newsletter discusses the impact of witnessing violence on young people, what you can do to help victims of family violence and provides a seven step personal safety plan.

Use of the Internet is booming but access to the net is not always safe.  This issue include two case studies from Kids Help Line and Parentline services which highlight some of the problems of the digital age. Some tips are also provided to help keep kids safe.
