The effectiveness of the traineeship model
Thursday, 25 March 2010 09:21

The effectiveness of the traineeship model is the title of a recently released report from the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER). The authors of this occasional paper reviewed the current traineeship model, and found that it is effective and did not propose any major changes to it.

Suggestions for improvement "relate to the nature of government support (incentives and user choice funding). In particular, we would remove the across-the-board application of incentives and instead link them to individuals". The report can be downloaded from the NCVER website at: http://www.ncver.edu.au/publications/2212.html.
