Paper presented at the YANQ Conference, 2005

This paper () by Derek Bland and Bill Atweh outlines the SARUA project and its potential as a model to address educational disadvantage as well as the theoretical and methodological frameworks for SARUA, and the benefits and related issues of the SARUA model.

The Student Action Research for University Access (SARUA) project was initially developed in 1991 as a response to one school’s concerns about Year 12 outcomes; it has since spread to many other schools and is being employed interstate, offering a model with the potential to address some of the issues identified in current school reform programs.
