The Australian Youth Mentoring Network has produced a fact sheet which provides practitioners with 8 simple prinicples to follow to adequately support mentors in order to retain a high quality pool of volunteers.

Research has shown that mentors who are supported throughout the mentoring relationship by the program are retained for longer and their skill levels improve, therefore providing better support to their young people.
