In March 2009 the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) released the Australian Alcohol Guidelines to Reduce Health Risks from Drinking Alcohol. In response, the Australian Drug Foundation (ADF) has updated the alcohol guidelines information in our resources. These updated resources are now  available in the new Winter 2009 ADF resource catalogue at http://is.gd/zjLK.

These updated guidelines recommend that healthy women and men drink no more than two standard drinks a day over their lifetime if they want to reduce their risk of experiencing an alcohol-related injury or disease.

The updated series of alcohol postcards and posters has been designed to visionally communicate the new guidelines. The four posters and postcards look at low risk drinking, standard drinks, alcohol and pregnancy, alcohol and young people.
