Presentation - Trends in the UK to address disengagement and raise achievement

This presentation (powerpoint here, video below) by Gary Fisher Smith provided an overview of trends in the UK (some of which Australia is following) to address disengagement and raise achievement.

Gary is a teacher at a flexible learning site run by the Salvation Army's Youth Outreach Service in Brisbane, Queensland. The presentation was part of the North East Youth Organisations Network's Discussion Forum, held in February, 2010.

About the Forum

The North East Youth Organisations Network's Discussion Forum was organised by members of the network with support from Education Queensland (Brisbane North), Australian Catholic University (Brisbane Campus), Vizible Ink Zillmere, Jabiru Respec, Picabeen Community Centre, Salvation Army Youth Outreach Service and the Youth Affairs Network of Queensland.
