Conference presentation: 'Does Pornography Harm Young People?'

Professor Alan McKee from the Creative Industries Faculty at the Queensland University of Technology was one of the keynote speakers for the State Youth Conference.  The notes from his presentation, 'Does 'Pornography Harm Young People?' can be downloaded here.

Alan McKee is a Professor at Queensland University of Technology where he leads the Promoting Healthy Sexual Development research group. He has published extensively on healthy sexual development and the impact of sexualized media. His latest book was (with Catharine Lumby and Kath Albury) The Porn Report (Melbourne University Press, 2008).  He has written for television (Big Brother), radio (ABC 720), computer games (Scoot!), newspapers (Brother/Sister), magazines (DNA) and stand-up comedy (The Josh Thomas Variety Hour).  Alan is a past president of the Cultural Studies Association of Australia; and past editor of Continuum: journal of media and cultural studies.
