Since the Queensland Government first proposed the Education & Training Reforms for the Future (ETRF) YANQ has written a number of papers on the topic of young people disengaged (or at risk of) from education and training.

These include:

• Support for Young People Disengaged from Education & Work: Perspectives of Youth Services in QLD (October 2007).  This is a summary report of a small research project YANQ conducted to assess the level and nature of support that is available for young people (12 to 18) who are disengaged from education and work.
• Youth Service Programs in Queensland for Disengaged Young People (September 2007).  A summary of public funding programs relevant to young people, 12-18, who are not participating in education or training and who are unemployed.
• Submissions to the Review of Education (General Provisions) Act (March 2005 and March 2006).  During 2005 and 2006 the Queensland Government's Department of Education announced plans to amend the Education (General Provisions) Act (1989).  YANQ made a submission to the Government's proposal and responded to the Government's first draft of the Bill.
• Let's Invite Everyone (May 2004).  A discussion paper written to encourage discussion and debate about the ETRF process.
• What are Schools for? Education Reform in Queensland (September 2003).  A discussion paper has been written to get people talking more about schools and education.  What would you like to see happen in Queensland schools?  Are schools 'working'?
