Advertise with YANQ and promote your products and services to more than 830 subscribers from the youth sector and over 150 visitors per day¹ to our website. Our Email Bulletin subscribers include:

• researchers from universities, government agencies and non-government organisations;

YANQ accepts advertisements in it's two major publications, the Email Bulletin and the Network Noise. The E-mail Bulletin is distributed fortnightly via e-mail to over 750 email addresses.  The Network Noise is distributed quarterly via post to over 200 members and subscribers of YANQ.

Rates

The costs below are for publishing one advertisement (either Article or Banner Style) in a single edition of either the E-mail Bulletin or the Network Noise. All prices mentioned here are GST Inclusive.

Article Style Advertising

Advertisements in the form of short articles (max 300 words) appear in the relevant section of YANQ's Email Bulletin or in an appropriate position in the Network Noise (depending on other articles). Advertisements in the Email Bulletin Also appear on YANQ's website, in the relevant section for a maximum of 4 weeks.

• Training, Conference & Event Notices
  • YANQ Members: Free for notices without logos/images. For notices with logos, we charge $11.
  • YANQ Subscribers: 50% discount on the prices below.
  • All Others:
    • Free for events with a standard registration fee of less than $50.
      
    • $38.50 per notice for events with a standard registration fee of between $50 and $150.
    • $88.00 per notice for events with a standard registration fee of greater than $150.
      
      
• Notices of Products and Services for Sale or Positions Vacant within For-Profits or Government Institutions
  
  • YANQ Members: Free for notices without logos/images. For notices with logos, we charge $11.
  • YANQ Subscribers: 50% discount on the prices below.
  • All Others: $55 per notice.
  • Please note: Non-government, non-profit organisations are welcome to submit job notices, free of charge for youth work or related positions using this form.
    

Banner Style Advertising (Email Bulletin & Website Only)

Banner style advertisements are published next to the Table of Contents in YANQ's Email Bulletin (for a preview click on the image to the left). Your banner will also be published in the ' Sector News' section of our website (in the left column, under the 'Latest Jobs' module) for 1000 impressions (i.e. your notice will display 1000 times on our website).

A Banner Style Advertisement costs $88.00 per notice.

How to Advertise

In your e-mail please provide a billing address.  An invoice will be sent once your advertisement has been published.

Specifications of Advertisements

General

• Advertisements that in any way contradict YANQ's Aims or Values will not be accepted.
• Advertisements may be be up to 300 words in length.
• To achieve a consistent look throughout our publications, advertisements will be published with the following font sizes:
  • Heading/Title: 15 pixels (web) / 14 points (publications)
  • Sub-headings: 13 pixels (web) / 12 points (publications)
  • Body/Paragraph text: 12 pixels (on the web) / 11 points (in publications)

Images

• Images for advertisements in the E-mail Bulletin must be:
  • In JPEG, GIF or PNG format
  • No larger than 165 x 300 pixels and 18 Kilobytes.
• Images for advertisements in the Network Noise must be:
  • In TIFF (preferably) or JPEG, GIF or PNG format
  • No larger than 5cm x 9cm (print size)
  • At least 300x300 dpi
    

Attachments

• E-mail Bulletin: Please note that generally we do not upload attachments to accompany your notices in the e-mail bulletin or on our website. If you have a website of your own, you can load the attachment on your website and we will link to it within the notice. If this is not possible for you, let us know and we can make other arrangements.
• Network Noise: A separate attachment (e.g. flyer, brochure) can be included as an insert in the Network Noise (in addition to or in place of a printed advertisement inside the Network Noise).  Attachments can be no more than 1 A4 page in size.  Larger attachments can be included by negotiation.

Conditions

• YANQ reserves the right not to publish advertisements.  Fees (if applicable) will not be charged in this case.
  
  
• YANQ reserves the right to waive fees for notices where we believe it is in the interests of young people, our members and/or the youth sector to publish them.
  
• YANQ reserves the right to edit advertisements that it accepts for publication as follows:
  
  • Paid advertisements: Some minor editing to the look and feel (e.g. font typeface, color and size) may be made to achieve a reasonably consistent look and feel with other content in the relevant publication.
    
  • Free advertisements: YANQ may make corrections, omit material or apply minor reorganization as required to achieve a reasonably consistent look and feel.
    Not-for-profit organisations and government departments that want to ensure that no substantive changes are made to their advertisements or notices may pay the rates applicable to for-profit organisations.
    
  • No changes will be made by YANQ that alters the meaning or interpretation of the content.
